  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons chili paste (adjust as per your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the tomato paste and chili paste to the pan. Stir well to combine with the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the sugar and water to the pan, stirring until the sauce is smooth and well-incorporated. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  6. Return the chicken pieces to the pan, ensuring they are coated with the sauce. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and to ensure even cooking.
